1. What’s your story? How did you get into all these languages?

Ok  so it was by coincidence… I was born in Northern Morocco, so my first  language is Berber (Tamazight). At school I learned Arabic, French and  Spanish… And then I had to come here to Spain for working as Public  Relations, so I was required to learn English… And then, you know, I  heard people speaking in Italian, and I said, wow it’s similar to  Spanish! 😊… So I started to learn Italian for almost 2 years. The same  happened with Portuguese, which I learned for one year because it’s  similar to Spanish and Galician… And then I get addicted to study  languages. One of my dreams was to speak German so I did it after 3  years, and then I went to Dutch language cause is similar to German.  When I said it’s finished… I couldn’t resist to keep learning. When I  knew that Scandinavian languages are intelligible with Germanic  languages, so then I started with Norwegian first and secondly Danish  and then Swedish… After that I said stop… But was no way to resist for  other languages as Russian and Chinese and all languages have  intelligibility with those languages…

2. Which language(s) do you wish you could spend more time practising?

I  wish if I can spend more time practicing and learning more… All the  time languages… Because learning languages is my lonely hobby that make  me satisfied but as a lot of people.. I have to work in something  different so after hard work always I try to give my rest of time for  the most things I like studying languages.

3. What are some languages you’d like to learn in the future?

Of  course! Romanian, Finnish, Hindi, Polish and Japanese, and then I hope  to keep learning new languages, because any one of the languages I  learned is as children you need to feed them to improve your fluency…

4. So let’s be honest, what’s the sexiest language?

It’s  not an easy question because for me, because when I hear my native  language Berber (Tamazight)... I feel like I can't live without it… But  to be honest I like how Italian and Swedish languages sound… Is like  Mozart melody…

5. What’s the greatest pleasure you get from speaking so many languages?

A  lot of things... Imagine I was working as Public Relations in a  restaurant so I was happy helping people to eat what they want, and  understanding all about what and how they like to get their food… Also I  like to get relationships with people from any countries, talking with  other families with members born in different countries, travelling,  ...and learning new languages!!! Because, you know, sometimes you want  to learn a new language and you don’t have a way to learn it from your  native language, so you have to learn this new language through other  different languages as a vehicle.

6. People say the world is really just going to have a few languages left in a 100 years, do you think this is really true?

It’s  not easy to know… People says English of course, some says Chinese as  the first power in future, some says artificial languages, but for me I  hope that any language in the world must survive because I see how  minority languages like Berber (Tamazight) in Africa getting slowly  disappeared and I feel so much pity... But I don’t think it will happen  even after 3000 years.

7. What is your message to young (and not so young) people out there who are interested in studying multiple languages?

I  say everything is possible… And to become a polyglot is not that  difficult… Just you need to analyze your own native language and to  begin to look for other languages, being intelligible or not, to  introduce in a world of languages and polyglotism. And then every time  you will discover new languages that you can learn easily. And remember,  as more languages you got, it will be much easier to choose new  languages to learn and in an easy way, because you get into routine and  for fun. Challenge happiness and overcoming yourself more and every day  you feel like you are a better person than yesterday. You will  understand more and help more, and getting more opportunity in your  live. As job relationships, fun, and REWARDS.
